pound low fat ground beef (or chicken or turkey)

can Del Monte petite cut tomatoes with jalapeños

heaping Tbsp diced green chilies

cup chopped frozen onions, thawed

tsp paprika

tsp cumin, more to taste

tsp chili powder, more to taste

tsp salt

tsp black pepper, adjust to taste

rounded tsp crushed garlic (2 cloves or ¼ tsp powder)

tsp fresh chili paste (Target produce section) or ½ tsp
crushed red pepper flakes

cup water
Brown the meat with onions in skillet. Use a small
amount of oil if meat is very lean. Add remaining
ingredients and simmer until thickened.
Serve with taco shell, lettuce, tomatoes and
cheese.
