Dust off the Kitchen Aide mixer and clean out the oven, it’s time for our Annual NTGIG Baking Contest.  At the October 4th meeting, attendees will compete in four different categories for the best recipes, judged by the members themselves at the meeting.  The four categories will be CAKES, PIES, COOKIES (includes bars), BREAD/ROLLS.  Preferably, the entries would be homemade recipes from scratch.  If you use a mix, you must add your own flair to personalizing it to be like a homemade recipe.  You need to bring a large enough amount to share with the group and we usually have a big turn-out for this contest.  If you’re bringing a pie, bring two!

We will have prizes in each category so be practicing on perfecting your best tried and true recipes.   Bring copies of the recipe and send an electronic one to betty.barfield@aa.com to be shared with everyone.  (Those new to the diet do not have to bring a thing, but your appetite!)

If you wish to attend, please send an email to education@northtexasgig.com to register for this free class.
